The Wargame Workshop

This workshop is for CI professionals or those with CI responsibilities in the pharmaceutical industry who want to learn more about when and why to run a Wargame as well as how to organize, design, prepare and execute a successful Wargame. Wargame is a business tool used to improve decision making through role play and rigorous analysis of the competitive landscape and your own organization’s capabilities and intentions. Decisions are always made under uncertainty and are therefore based upon assumptions. The participants will leave with a deeper understanding what is required from a Wargame to ensure your organization reap the most important benefits of a Wargame; identifying, challenging and improving it’s assumptions about itself, the competitors, the market and the future.

About your Workshop leader:
Jonas Pedersén Jonas Pedersén, PhD, MBA, is partner and Executive Director at Compelling Edge LPP with responsibilities for the company’s CI consulting and wargaming operations. Jonas joined the company from Amgen Inc, where he was the Director and Head of Competitive Intelligence. At Amgen he built and developed a world class CI capacity that supported the commercialization process and all branded assets across Amgen regions and functions as well as the Senior Management. Previously, Jonas worked as Competitive Intelligence Manager for Therapy Area Pain Control within AstraZeneca R&D. Prior to joining the CI profession, Jonas was an Assistant Professor and acting Deputy Director at the Department of Musculoskeletal Research, National Institute for Working Life in Sweden. Jonas holds a PhD in Neurophysiology and a BSc in Psychology as well as an Executive MBA in General Management.
